Hachimitsu Private Academy, one of Tokyo’s most stringent girls’ schools, recently changed its policy and admitted boys. But five boys make a minor error in the bathing area and soon find themselves locked away for months.
Due to the strict conditions in prison, they find it increasingly difficult to escape and expose Shadow Student Council’s crimes. But with time running out, they devise a plan to break through the walls.
The Beginning
Akira Hiramoto’s Prison School is a manga series following the exploits of five boys sent to Hachimitsu Academy, an all-girls school. The plotline begins when they observe some female students in the girls’ bathroom and are caught by school staff.
They will then be sent to the prison block – one of Hachimitsu Academy’s strictest and draconian parts.
The boys have been sentenced to one month in the prison block. While there, they begin building relationships with one another.
After some time has passed, they decide to attempt breaking out of the prison block. But they will have to overcome some obstacles and challenges along the way.
The Middle
Akira Hiramoto’s Prison School is a manga series about an all-girls boarding school known for its rigorous academic standards and strict discipline. The 12-episode first season premiered in 2015 to positive reviews.
The series relies on unpredictable humor, physical comedy, and non-sequiturs for its plotlines. Furthermore, it utilizes callbacks and seemingly innocuous pairings to add even more layers of unpredictable fun.
Kiyoshi and Hana are the main characters, but there are many others who add to the comedy. Andre, a calm yet nipple-haired boy, and Meiko who acts high and mighty towards the boys but then becomes completely submissive towards Mari, are two examples of character comedy.
But the main focus of the series is sexuality. Sex is used as a means to achieve absurdity, shame and comedy – as evidenced by in-your-face calisthenics, “mushroom” touching, and a butt-shaped mouse pad.
The End
After the first season of Prison School Season 2, fans are eager to know if there will be another installment. Unfortunately, its creators have yet to provide any updates regarding a potential second season.
The anime was met with universal praise and received glowing reviews, earning it the 37th Kodansha Manga Award!
Nearly seven years have passed since the first season ended, leaving fans eager to know if there will be another. Unfortunately, no updates on its future have been provided by its creators; many fans are opting to read manga instead of waiting for a sequel.
The manga series emphasizes the characters’ relationships, which is a signature element. Kiyoshi, Gakuto and Meiko are three main cast members who receive most of the spotlight throughout the course of the series.
