Conflict can keep readers engaged from start to finish and be the driving force of the plot. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to show readers more of your protagonist and their strengths and flaws.
Conflict may be an overused term, but its importance in any story should not be overlooked. From writing action-packed novels to making sure TV commercials make money and meet goals on an advertising budget, conflict is essential in creating stories with meaning – an author should make conflict part of his/her priority list!

Researchers have attempted to understand curiosity from various angles. Some focus on its motivational aspects while others look at adaptive and homeostatic aspects.
Fowler’s (1965) boredom-based perspective characterizes curiosity as an internal homeostatic drive (internally stimulated). Since curiosity is both aroused and satisfied by similar stimuli. Berlyne’s (1967) curiosity-drive theory asserts that curiosity arises from experiencing uncertainty or unpleasantness and seeks to alleviate it by exploring novel stimuli.
Curiosity can be an excellent and effective motivator in activities requiring sustained effort. It helps individuals view unfamiliar, complex or uncertain situations as opportunities to gain experience that is valuable in strengthening commitment to overcome challenging tasks rather than burn them out.
